CEJ organized a workshop on gender, SGBV concepts and gendered aspects of cyber SGBV for staff of selected state institutions on 22nd September 2022. This workshop consisted of two sessions, one on gender and the other on Cyber Sexual and Gender-based Violence (CSGBV). The first session was conducted by Prof. Wasantha Seneviratne on gender, that covered topics such as the differences between sex and gender, gender stereotypes and norms, and SGBV. During the session she divided the participants into groups and facilitated some activities to encourage participants to share their opinions openly and actively. The second session was conducted by Ms. Naushalya Rajapaksha, Attorney at Law., and this focused on cyber SGBV, related laws, best practices and gender sensitivity. She included some activities and discussions to keep the participants engaged.
