CEJ chose to use puppetry as the main medium to share the findings of the research studies on sexual bribery of Tamil, Sinhala (Military widows) and Muslim women and more importantly to break the silence surrounding the issue of sexual bribery at the community level. CEJ partnered with Power of Play, a company which innovatively uses puppets, theatre and storytelling to educate and train people belonging to communities in different settings. The performance was based on a folk tale called ‘Mahadanamuththa’ (the wise man) and his pupils’ which is popular among Sinhala speaking children and adults in Sri Lanka. The story was devised in a manner to bring out the issue of sexual bribery in a creative way to the audience.
