In April 2019 CEJ completed a mapping study with the aim of identifying women’s self help groups and collectives in selected villages of Anuradhapura, Kilinochchi, and Kurunegala districts of Sri Lanka. It also sought to identify gaps both in terms of issues and geographical locations. This exercise helped to explore the need for new self help groups and collectives and collaborations between the groups. This study allows us to strengthen groups of war affected women and equip them with the knowledge and strength to face public officials who may attempt to solicit a sexual bribe.
