The first workshop was held in Vavuniya with 8 conflict affected women on 23rd August 2018. A Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) staff member conducted the workshop. The women were given a brief introduction to the RTI Act and were trained on how to fill an RTI application form on women’s issues relevant to the ongoing TJ process. The second workshop was held in Ampara district with 11 conflict-affected women on 8th September. The resource person was a lawyer and had been trained by the RTI Commission. Following the training the women were asked to file RTI applications on TJ related issues to relevant government entities. CEJ will follow up.
