CEJ organized two forums with government officials in Polonnaruwa and Hambantota districts between March and June 2021. The objective of the activity was to create a platform for women and youth to share their experiences concerning memorialisation with government officials. Movie screenings and art workshops were used as tools to help women and youth communicate their ideas and engage in meaningful dialogue with the government officials. CEJ partners Sunila Women and Children Development Centre (SWCDC) in Polonnaruwa and Women Development Federation (WDF) in Hambantota held these events in line with COVID-19 related health and safety guidelines relevant at the time.
