CEJ held a virtual launch for the research report “Peace in Motion: Women’s Leadership in Peacebuilding in Sri Lanka” on 29th June 2021. The report focused on the role played by women peacebuilders during and post conflict in Sri Lanka. The objective of the report is to highlight the contribution of Sri Lankan women to propagate peace and development in their communities from a local perspective. The report was launched in all three local languages in the hopes of gathering widespread support for the work undertaken by women peacebuilders. Ms. Nkinzi Suzan, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Women’s International Peace Centre, Uganda shared her experiences at the event which was attended by 50 local and international stakeholders.
