CEJ supports PARL’s call to action regarding the Right to Land and Housing of the Malaiyaha Community in the Aftermath of Cyclone Ditwah.
The Malaiyaha community has faced historic structural inequalities, and this disaster has disproportionately impacted the community. Many families remain in structurally unsafe line houses or makeshift shelters, over a month after the cyclone, excluded from critical information in their native language, and denied the dignity of secure housing.
