On 24 August CEJ conducted virtual capacity-building sessions in Sinhala and Tamil. The objective of these webinars was to build the capacity of women and CBOs consisting of women on gender, women and reparations. Danushka Medawatte, Senior lecturer, Faculty of Law, University of Colombo facilitated the Sinhala language sessions while Ranitha Gnanarajah, a lawyer, conducted the Tamil language session.
Women representing CSOs from Anuradhapura, Trincomalee, Ampara, Puttalam, Hambantota and Kilinochchi participated in these sessions.
